Miracles Still Happen

Wow it truly has been a blessing to be the witness of so many choice blessings that Heavenly Father has allowed us to be a part of. I told you about one last week, Ms. Dorothy. She truly was a miracle and prepared for the Gospel. Another person we have been teachings her name is Lynn. She is truly a tender spirit and a beloved daughter of God. She just found out this week that her date to move to Germany was moved up from the end of April to March 10th. Well her husband lives in Germany and is a member of the church. He has been less-active for a long time but is preparing to become active again. Well he told us to send Lynn to him baptized if that is what she wants and not to wait to have her baptised in Germany so that she doesn't have to be retaught everything there. But to just send him Pictures. Well after we found out the news. We prayed about still setting a date and having her baptized. Because she is definitely ready. She was living the Word of Wisdom without us asking her (that is just one of the major things) also she just has that desire to learn all that she can. She says that she felt empty when she left her previous church but doesn't feel that way when she leaves church now. Anyway so we had an amazing lesson with her on Saturday and set a baptism date with her on Mar. 7th. She is so excited. Another miracle is that the Germany ward already knows she's coming and is excited for her to get there. So that is truly a blessing as well.

On Saturday night our ward hosted the "Nashville Tribute Band" they were amazing. They currently have 2 Cd's out; Tribute to the Prophet, and Trek. They are all country music stars here in Nashville and our all LDS and got together and formed this group to go out and give to the world with their testimony. The group has Dan Truman (the keyboarder for Diamond Rio) and James Deere, also 3 other guys that have a group called "Due West" They are amazing. It was definitely a spiritual evening and a great event to have Lynn at so that she could build her testimony of the Pioneers and Joseph Smith.

Just so you all know I have been blessed with the opportunity to stay in Clarksville another transfer this will make 5 transfers (which is very unusual) also I will be staying companions with Sister Smith. President Hutchings said that we still have more work to do here and that he wants us to stay together one more transfer. Which is just fine with me since that is what I have been begging for.The work is moving along great here in Tennessee. There is always changes happening but we survive.

This last Zone Conference (2 wks ago) President Hutchings announced that the members are only allowed to feed us if there is a non-member, less-active, or recent convert at the dinner. We have a few members that are very upset about this and another handful that are afraid we will starve, which is a big possibility for awhile until the ward members figure out how to do their missionary work. They have gotten to the point of feeling like they are fulfilling their member missionary duties by just feeding the missionaries. But that just isn't the case, although we truly appreciate the wonderful food and the full tummies and getting to know the ward members. The ward will definitely struggle with this new rule for a while but eventually they will understand that it is actually a wonderful blessing to invite their friends and neighbors to hear the message of the restored gospel.

I am so grateful for this chance that I have to be serving at this time when miracles are happening all around us.
